Hello everyone!
We hope you are all well.
Green Team want to remind you about Earth Hour which is today, Saturday 28th March 8.30-9.30 p.m. It is organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), who we have worked with before. Remember our Wear it Wild Day last June? That was lots of fun.
WWF say, “Earth Hour is the world’s biggest switch off event-a moment when millions come together for nature, people and the planet. During these difficult times we need more than ever to find ways to connect with each other and inspire hope for the future.”
As we saw on Thursday evening with the clapping for the NHS, it feels good to be do things together. You don’t have to switch everything off, just your lights. Although it is only for one short hour, it will make such a difference. Each year more and more people are joining in.
We hope you are all keeping safe and looking after each other.
Thank you from all of Green Team.
I am going to switch off some of the lights and my tv for the Earth hour. It will help the whole world if we all do this.
It was not until somebody pointed out the nice things that were said in reply to our videos that I realised that you could comment on news as well as blogs. Apologies to you Sophie for being so slow in replying. Thank you for observing Earth Hour. I am glad you can see how important it is. ?
