In Reception, we have been busy constructing our own 3D animals! As we have been developing our knowledge about different jungle animals, we each chose a jungle animal to construct. We identified which countries they live in on our class world map and talked about the different features the animals have.
We used a range of materials to construct our animals including rolls, card, paper, pipe cleaners and googly eyes. We listened carefully to some helpful tips about how we can make the legs and other features of the animals by cutting and folding small pieces of card. After some help from an adult we used adhesive tape to help join our materials together. We tried hard to use care and precision when adding each part including the eyes, nose and mouth.
Reception followed instructions carefully and showed lots of independence when creating their 3D animal, well done Reception!

I loved creating my 3 D Gorila it was fun and I am planing to do one at home to show my family how to do. I also liked everyone’s else’s design which was creative and colourful.
