Year 4 had a brilliant first week back at school last week and have been doing lots of fun activities to kick off our new term!
We kicked off our start to the new school year with our citizenship and locality days where we discussed our local area/community in Geography. In Geography, we drew our own maps including a key of the important landmarks in our local area such as St. James’ Church, Paddington Street Gardens and Marylebone High Street.
We have also started our new book for our English focus which is Escape From Pompeii and have been looking at key features to help when writing a setting description. We looked at noun phrases and how we can create them to build up description within our writing. We then had our first PE lessons with QPR, focusing on team games and working together to achieve an objective!
It was a great first week with Year 4 and they have settled back into school routines and work so quickly! I’m so proud of you all!
Well done Year 4!
