We are very proud to once again have been awarded Gold STARS (Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe). Our Junior Travel Ambassadors today represented our school at a special event where they had the opportunity to participate in an interactive seminar , exchanging ideas and planning new, exciting activities with other Gold STARS schools . The event will also included a special awards ceremony where we were presented with our 2018 star and certificate.
“We were worried by the high pollution levels in nearby Oxford Street, which are more than 4 times the acceptable limit.
It was good to know that if you walk in a side street where there are less cars, there is likely to be 20% less pollution.
We enjoyed learning about what other schools do to reduce pollution such as a walking bus.
We wrote lots of idea for how to reduce pollution on the suggestion wall.
It was a really good day and we learnt alot that we will share with everyone back at school. ”
