This week, Year 2 put on a spectacular Historical Heroes assembly, bringing the past to life in a special Greatest Hero of All chat show! Our stage was filled with incredible guests, including Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole, Queen Elizabeth I and II, Rosa Parks, and Emily Davies. Each of these inspiring figures shared their remarkable achievements and the lasting impact they have had on the world.

Through engaging performances, we explored how Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole transformed nursing, how Rosa Parks bravely stood up for equality, and how Emily Davies fought for women’s rights. We also looked at the reigns of both Queen Elizabeth I and II, learning about their leadership and influence.

To celebrate these heroes, we sang powerful, hero-themed songs, filling the hall with energy and pride. It was wonderful to see our Year 2 pupils performing with such enthusiasm, confidence, and passion.
