In Year 6, we are really enjoying our History lessons, learning about World War II.
At Sayer’s Croft, we learnt about the experiences of evacuees there during World War II and we are looking forward to meeting Miss C’s mum who is going to tell us about her own experiences during World War II. We have written lots of interesting questions that we are keen to have answered.
Today, we worked with our learning partners to create a time line of some of the key events of World War II. We had about thirty key events to put in chronological order. Then we discussed the events with our learning partners and decided on the ten key events that we were going to include in our own timelines.
I really enjoyed making a time line about the war,and while I was making it I learnt something new. which was about Italy joined the war as one of the Axis power. This was a type of challenge and how to look at each date and what year the war took place. This was one of my favourite lessons that I have done in history.

making a ww2 timeline was really fun and i enjoyed learning about all the events that went on. I learned that although food rationing started early in the war clothes rationing started later.
This history session is very good and exciting. I really enjoy the cool books and videos and I like the WWII timeline it was so cool.
I really enjoyed making the WW2 Timeline because I learnt that Italy was also involved in the war by being an Axis Power for France.
To be honest, ordering them were pretty tricky since there were a lot of events. There was a huge piece of paper full of events and we had to order them correctly.

I found this History lesson very enjoyable and sorting the timeline was easy.
I really enjoyed this lesson. I learned about some other main events. I liked putting the events in order.

The WW2 topic is really fun. Even though some things are quite difficult we are having a great time! We had to choose the most important events and then copy them on our books.

This lesson was really fun. I enjoyed choosing my top10 events in WW2 and making a timeline of them.
Making a timeline was quite hard since there were loads of events. We had to choose the 10 most important events and put them in a timeline in our books.
