This week in Year 2, we have been continuing our work on the Great Fire of London. We have worked together to recap all we know about the topic so far, and have also taken on the role of journalists. We created some questions to ask some of the key figures from the time, if we were ever fortunate enough to meet them. By chance, we happened to meet them in our classroom! As a class, we interviewed Thomas Farriner, his cat, his maid, and King Charles II. We had a great time asking them questions, finding out even more about what happened during and after the fire.
We have also worked well in groups to sequence the events that took place, using images from our class text, The Great Fire of London, to help us. We are really enjoying this topic and we can’t wait to learn more!
Well done for all of your hard work, Year 2!
