As part of our annual Enterprise Week, children experience what it is like to work together in a company to market and create a product, with the aim of making a profit.
We wanted the children to hear about some of the different jobs that they could possibly do when they are older, and so we invited parents to come in and speak to different classes about the jobs that they do.
We heard about so many different jobs! We learnt lots more about some jobs that we had already heard of, such as a university lecturer, doctor, pharmacist and a pilot. We learnt about jobs related to finance such as a fund manager, regulation and compliance, financial markets trader and what it is like to work in a bank. It was fun to learn more about jobs in IT as well as what it would be like to work in the theatre or as an actor. Some people owned their own business and so we learnt what it is like to be an entrepreneur and what it is like to work at a fragrance company. We even learnt about the different jobs at companies we had already heard of, like KraftHeinz, and the different roles within a large company.
Thank you to all the parents who came to our school.

I loved when my Dada came in. My favourite bit was when I wore my Dada’s pilot hat.
All the parents that came into our classrooms had very interesting jobs, I really enjoyed hearing all their experiences.
