In Maths, our topic is Ration and Proportion.

We have been learning to recognise, describe and compare ratios and  represent them in different ways.

We have used ratio notation to record and interpret ratios and we understand how ratios relate to fractions, which was our last Maths topic.

This week, we have been exploring the concept of scale factors and learning how to interpret scales on plans and maps.

Today, we had fun working  with partners to explore similar shapes by creating shapes and then enlarging them by a chosen  scale factor.

Can you think of times when we use ratio and proportion in real life, Year 6?

This lesson was really fun SINCE WE DIDNT HAVE TO DO WORK. Just playing with the beads and defying physics.Best maths lesson ever. What we really did was finding the scale factor (ratio) of the shape.
