Year 4 travelled back in time today, back to the Mayan times and visited the city of Palenque. Our Time Traveller helped us to become each of the different members of society. We had our own King and learnt how the Mayans made their children more beautiful, including making them cross-eyed and sharpening their teeth into points.
We also learnt how to write and read the calendar, and build our own peasant houses. Finally, we had to pass a test to become our own Time Travellers by asking and answering some Mayan questions. We had a lot of fun using our acting skills and learning even more about the Mayans!
