In Year One, we have been using non-standard and standard units to measure length, mass and capacity. We started by using cubes to measure length and then used rulers to measure in centimetres.
We also weighed different objects to see which was the heaviest and lightest. Then we measured capacity in cups (some of us did ml’s) and put them in order!
