Today’s focus is ‘Keep Learning about Nature’. Learning something new is good for your brain and often exciting for the learner. Trying something different or rediscovering an old interest can also improve our confidence and widen our skillset. Take on a new responsibility, do some arts and crafts or pick up an untried recipe. The challenge and enjoyment of learning new things gives a sense of fulfilment that is second to none.
Bird Watching: Our gardens, countryside and even towns and cities, are full of amazing birds. Spread your wings into the wonderful world of birds. Stick your beak out, use your eagle-eyes and get spotting! What can you see? Make a list of the birds you have seen and take a photo or draw a picture. Share what you have learnt with a friend or family member.
Tree ID: Looking at a tree’s features is a great way for you to develop your observation skills. Tree ID can be a real sensory experience too. Carefully explore some trees with your hands, nose and ears. Discuss the size and shape of the tree. See if you can identify the tree and list some of its features.
Discovering nature within the Bible: Use your Bible to explore where animals are referenced. What did you discover?
