Every Monday afternoon at 14:00 all classes in the school will watch a specially chosen assembly that we hope that all the children working from home can join in and watch at the same time. We are not watching these in the order they were produced but selecting the themes that are relevant to our school.
This week’s assembly is all about Movement. Whether you are at school or at home, its so important to ensure that exercise is part of your daily routine. The Dance Class put together by artist researcher Stacie Lee Bennett-Worthroutine has been designed to get us all feeling great through moving and will hopefully provide some ideas for your Dance Blogs on Friday.
This is followed by an inspirational talk to Olympic Bronze medallist, three times World Champion and six times European Champion gymnast Beth Tweddle who will be sharing her journey into professional sport. She shares some important advice including, “Don’t worry if you make a mistake-get up and have another go,” which fits in well with our Learning Powers.
If you have any other ideas about movement please share them in the comments below.
Remember to end the assembly by saying our special school prayer.
