This morning, Year 3 took part in a brilliant music workshop led by ‘Albert’s Band’, the Royal Albert Hallโ€™s resident engagement ensemble. Six amazing musicians performed a multitude of instruments for us, exploring the orchestral repertoire of the Royal Albert Hall.

The children were split into 6 separate groups, each with their own percussion instruments and rhythm which were combined to create a whole class percussion masterpiece. The musicians were very skilled at composing, directing and combining the rhythms together, and we created a beautiful piece of music, which we performed for Years 1 and 2 as well as the Year 3 parents.

We had such a wonderful time creating the music and the performance was all the more remarkable because of how quickly it was put together. We would like to offer a massive thank you to ‘The Alberts’ for their expertise, especially Kevin who was leading his final workshop before retirement!
