In our Religious Education lesson today, we learnt all about the events of Palm Sunday.
On Palm Sunday there is a procession into Church, which remembers the story of Jesus going into Jerusalem just before he was put to death. Everyone has a Palm or a Palm cross. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week in the Church, a week of remembering the events that lead to the Death and Resurrection of Jesus. It is a very special time.
After reflecting on the events of Palm Sunday and how the people warmly welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem with Palm leaves, we made our own artwork to represent this special time.
We sketched our drawing first and then used watercolours. We are very proud of our work today!
