This week in English we are learning about poetry. We have learnt what a poem is, and the features of a poem. We explored the poem, ‘ Help’ by Jack Prelutsky by looking for all the interesting words. Today we looked at a different poem, ‘Question time’ by Michaela Morgan. The poem has interesting adjectives and verbs and we learnt that a verb is an action word.
To help us learn the poem, we were each given a different stanza, and we had to act it out!
Tomorrow we are going to be writing our very own rhyming poem using nonsense and real words!
