After a long wait Year 3 have been lucky enough to go on a trip! We had a lovely class lunch before leaving school to go and see a performance of Peter and the Wolf as part of the Marylebone Music Festival.
The performance started with us meeting the Orion Orchestra as well as the conductor Sue Perkins and the narrator. They taught us about the different types of instruments in the orchestra and quizzed us about the instrument used to represent each of the characters in the story.
We then listened to the story with the accompaniment of the orchestra. We had a brilliant afternoon and are very thankful to the Marylebone Music Festival for allowing us to be a part of this brilliant performance!
It was a great end to our week!
I really liked the music and how the animals were played by different instruments.
It was a great afternoon Sophia! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Miss Drury
I liked it. The sound was loud but I did enjoy it a lot.
