Our book of the week in Nursery this week is ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’ by Nick Butterworth.
In our Phonics lessons this week, we have been thinking about the initial sounds we hear in words. Today we looked at different objects from Jasper’s Beanstalk and talked about the sounds they begin with.
We said ‘b for beanstalk, bean and bird, f for fork, w for watering can and s for soil.’
After we sorted the objects, we had a try at forming some of these letter sounds!
