Today, Year 6 visited the London Transport Museum to take part in a Junior Citizenship event.
In teams, we participated in a range of different workshops including fire safety, road safety, first aid, drug safety, online safety as well as safety when travelling on the bus and Underground.
We all learnt a lot more about keeping ourselves safe when we are out and about.
We are very grateful to the experts from Hope UK, Transport for London, the Metropolitan Police, the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Service who led these informative workshops.

The trip to the transport museum was very fun. We learned about so many different jobs and how to protect ourselves in secondary school.
This workshop seems like it was very informative. It is important to be safe when we are out and about.
I loved the transport museum!!!! We learnt about how to use a zip card and to keep safe on the tube and on the bus.
My favourite part was when the police explained us about security in the street.
I also learnt about what to do in case of fire.
I learnt to not accept something if I don’t know what it is. I also learnt that if I’m riding a bike on the road beside a truck then I need to stay in a position where the driver can see me.
This was such a fun trip! We learnt about how to be safe in secondary school and we also learnt about using a zip card.
I really liked going to the transport museum and learning about life-important situations!!! It was a bit scary though when we learned about how you can get tricked into certain things.
This was really fun since we got to do different activities but some people found the drugs part scary. I can agree with that because some of them can be harmful and that can be horrifying.
Going to the Transport Museum was so fascinating! I learnt how to escape a fire and to not trust strangers. I LOVE THE PIGEON IN THE COVER IT IS SO CUTE
