On Tuesday, we visited Kew Gardens.
Thank you again to the SVPA who funded our coach to Kew, this made our trip so much more enjoyable as we got the maximum possible time there.
Once we had arrived, we were greeted by one of the Kew educators, Michelle, who taught us about some of the interesting trees in Kew. She asked us to name the parts of the tree and then she taught us to look really carefully to try to find the similarities and differences between the trees.
After that, we adventured into the palm house, it was so hot! It felt just like being in the jungle. The plants come from around the world, so they have to be kept at the correct temperature inside the green houses.
We were all very impressed by the beautiful glass sculptures created by artist Dale Chihuly.
Later we had our lunch and enjoyed playing in the brand new children’s garden.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who accompanied us, we really appreciate your support.
