Today we invited Eric from Harrison to join our School Council meeting to discuss about the school lunch menu. We discussed lots of points that children had told us about such as the portion sizes, a healthy option and having more fruit and vegetables. We also suggested that, as a healthy school, plain yogurt should be served on different days. Our chairperson, Emily, read the all suggestions for possible changes. Eric listen to all our suggestions and we all took part in the discussed. Eric agreed to provide banana bread or a banana cake instead of sponge cake and custard. We also added parsnips and courgettes to our roasted vegetables. For Friday we all agreed on fish fingers and chips.
It was very exciting to listen to everyone’s suggestions and share them with our school caterers and we enjoyed making some changes to improve everyone’s lunchtime!

I hope Harrison will manage to make my friends happier with the new school menu.
This will improve the school menu a lot and make others happy and more comfortable with the options that have been discussed and accepted. Thank you to the Harrison manager who came in to listened to our ideas.
We changed the lunch menu.
It was nice to meet the head of Harrisons!
We gave ideas to the Harrisons!
We discussed with Eric things that can be improved in the school menu. We changed the potatoes and garlic bread.
We discussed about the school lunches with the Harrison staff. We changed at least 8 things that will hopefully help the school have a better lunch time. Some of the things that changed was grapes, bigger lunch portions, garlic bread and no pears.
This will make other people say the menu is good and they will like it very much.
This was the first time that I saw the head of Harrisons!
