This morning, School Council invited Eric from Harrisons to join their meeting.
Over the last few weeks, we have been speaking about the lunch options and spoke to everyone in our class about which meals they like and which could be better. It was hard to make sure everyone was happy with the options and not just suggest our favourites!
Generally, everyone enjoys the lasagne, sausages and Mexican style beef. We also like the piri piri chicken and the pasta. We’ve asked for garlic bread to accompany some of the meals as we used to have it and everyone misses it! We also asked whether we could have some noodle or cous cous meals, to have a bit of variety. Lots of children love the salad bar and we asked for more sweetcorn.
We asked about the puddings, as we used to have jelly and ice cream but now it is just jelly. Eric explained to us that they have guidelines from the government about the amount of sugar they can have in a week and so they have to follow this.
Everyone in School Council shared their ideas well and listen to Eric very respectfully. Hopefully together we can make sure that everyone loves their school lunches!
