Our wonderful school council visited the Houses of Parliament today. It was incredible. We were given a tour of the House of Lords, House of Commons and even the Queen’s Robing room! We learnt lots of facts! We learnt that most of the building is only 170 years old apart from one huge hall which is over 1000 years old. After the tour we completed a workshop on how to make a law. We argued over whether all homeless people should be given a home. After a few disagreements from the House of Lords our bill was passed into law as an act. We felt very lucky to experience such a day.
