Year 6 have recently been studying the classification of living organisms.
They planned their own investigations looking at various factors that affect the growth of mould.
Observations and results were taken over three weeks and conclusions drawn. Each group then presented their findings to the whole class.
As well as enjoying the experience, the children also further developed their skills of carrying out an investigation, recognising the importance of precision and logical thinking.
