In Year 6, we have been learning about light. We’ve learn that light travels in straight lines and that we see by light from the sun reflecting off an object and into our eyes.

Today we turned out all the lights so that we could investigate shadows. Our aim was to see how changing the distance between the torch and an object changed the size of the shadow.

We all made predictions and then did the experiment to see if our predictions were right.

We found that the closer the object is to the torch, the bigger the shadow!
