Year 5 had a lovely time completing all of our science projects and experiments this week on the school theme of growth!
We started by setting up a test to see which bread would have the least amount of mould. One piece was touched by someone who had washed their hands with sanitiser, one with hand soap, one had no washed hands and the last piece was not touched at all. We have recorded our observations on changes to the bread each day in our science notebooks.
Next, we discussed what an animal would need to survive on Mars. It was determined they would need gear to help them keep warm, something to protect from radiation, and a mechanism to help grow food. We then built our Mars animals in groups!
To finish off, we potted plants in soil to watch them grow. We really enjoyed the opportunities we had to dive deeper into science this week!
Looks like you had your fun, also my class made plant pots as well!
