As part of this term’s Science topic, Electricity, Year 6 attended a fantastic workshop at Queen’s College on Friday 29th November.
The programme of activities arranged for them included: investigating static electricity, creating a burglary alarm system that incorporated both security lights and an alarm by constructing both series and parallel circuits and investigating variable resistors.
The children really enjoyed the trip as it allowed them to consolidate and use their learning, extend their knowledge through the experience and give them a taste of the exciting time to come in Science at Secondary School.
Thank you to the staff at Queen’s for hosting such an informative workshop.
