In assembly today we had a special visitor from St Mungo’s, Kirsty, who spoke to us about people who are homeless. We realised all the different reasons why some people are homeless and asked interesting questions that made us think, such as why someone might not be able to have their family there to look after them.

We then looked at all the different ways St Mungo’s helps those who are homeless. They give clothing, food, a home, medical advice, education and are the only London based charity that lets people keep their pets when they find them somewhere to stay. We realised how important this must be to help people feel less lonely.

Thank you Kirsty for reminding us why we went out carol singing last Thursday. We’re so pleased to raise money to help the homeless. Remember to bring in £1 on the last day of term to raise even more money for St Mungo’s.
