Today we launched our annual St. Vincent’s Enterprise Week with a whole school assembly led by the Maths Leader, Miss Gorick. Each class was lent £25 to spend on making a product to be sold at the end of the week. During the week the children will need to agree on their product, purchase the appropriate resources and make it within budget. They also need to advertise their product, sell it and evaluate it. The aim of the week is for children to learn about the concept of profit and loss whilst gaining practical experience of using money. The week culminates with a fantastic sale in the hall. All pupils may bring up to £3 into school on Friday to spend at the sale. We are grateful to volunteers from HMI Treasury who will be supporting some Maths lessons as well as helping to make some of the products.
