Pope Francis told us: “Read the gospels! This way we will learn what is most essential in our lives: love and mercy.”
In assembly on Monday our Pupil Chaplaincy team representatives read the Gospel and we used the Wednesday Word to help us to reflect on the good news for the third week of Advent and thought of how we could show mercy to others. We decided to try and be forgiving of each other-even when this is difficult -and trying our best to make the world a better, more joyful place. We thought about how we could show compassion and care to others . Today we are doing this by wearing our Christmas outfits and making a donation to St. Mungo’s.
So far we have raised nearly £300. Well done everyone. Your support will help people who are not as fortunate as us and do not have a home.
