This week, we have been learning about the Last Supper and the Eucharist. We have been able to retell the story of the Last Supper, focusing on the way in which Jesus shared bread and wine, representing his body and blood. We know that we remember this moment during Mass, as we show our devotion to Jesus.
The children have looked at various depictions of the Last Supper such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous artwork as well as more contemporary versions. We have used pastels to create our own interpretation of the infamous artwork which reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice.
