On Monday Class Four went to the Verulamium Museum in St Albans to find out more about the Romans. Thank you to the SVPA for generously funding this trip.
We travelled there by coach which was very exciting!
Once we got there, we walked to St Albans Cathedral and Abbey. We learnt some interesting facts about the building as we explored inside!
After lunch, we took part in an artefacts workshop in the museum. We were allowed to hold real Roman artefacts such as pottery, oil lamps and cooking equipment. We became experts in identifying whether an artefact was genuine or a replica!
Once the workshop had come to an end we had time to look around the museum. There were so many things to see and do. We enjoyed making mosaics and walking through a Roman home!
