To support us with our ‘Jungle’ topic in Reception, we had a visit from ZooLab!
Lottie from ZooLab brought in lots of different jungle animals and minibeasts for us to see, hold and learn about!
We met giant African snails, a big scorpion that glowed in the dark, a large cockroach, an albino white snake called Dotty, a huge millipede called Millie, and a tiny baby tortoise called Pip.
Reception were so well behaved, listening to all the new facts and information Lottie shared with us. They were all so brave, holding and stroking all of the creatures very kindly and with care.
This is wonderful, in how you expose the children to living creatures and how to show love and respect for every animal; not just the ‘cute and cuddly’ ones. This is a very important lesson, thank you so much St Vincent’s school family for making this happen.
