Year 2 had a special workshop this morning presented by the Wallace Collection. We were introduced to the historic house where we learnt about where the museum came from.
We looked at and discovered a range of works of art from the unique collection and had the chance to create our own historic collection using the objects and things that we value ourselves.
We discussed the iconic ‘Laughing Cavalier’ painting from the arms and armour collection. We thought about the types of armour used and designed our own armour to protect someone. We also looked at a slithering ceramic plate, another piece from the collection. We looked at clues and shared our ideas. It was a really interesting and fun session which we loved being a part of!
A special thanks to the Wallace Collection for providing this exciting session.
