As part of Art Week, Guy’s mum came in to teach us about watercolour painting. She taught us lots of skills such as washing and blotting, as well as how artists such as Turner would have painted people. We also learnt how to use wax candles so that when we paint, it leaves the background as white.
We really enjoyed painting in watercolours like Turner does as we went to see his artwork in the Tate Britain last term.
