On Wednesday 5th February, our school had an exciting and memorable day as we celebrated Wear It Wild Day, a fantastic cause led by our dedicated Green Team! The team, who meet weekly to discuss environmental projects, took charge of organising the event and even ran the whole school assembly.
During the assembly, they explained the theme of the day which was dressing up in animal-themed clothes to raise awareness about the importance of wildlife and the environment. The Green Team shared important tips on how we can all support wildlife and help protect the planet in our everyday lives. Simple actions like recycling, disposing of waste properly, and using less water (such as turning off the tap while brushing our teeth) can make a big difference in supporting wildlife around the world.
The Green Team worked hard to make Wear It Wild Day a fun, educational experience that all the children could enjoy and remember. Their passion and enthusiasm were contagious, and it was inspiring to see so many students and staff joining in by dressing in their best animal-themed outfits!
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to all our families for their support in helping the children with their amazing animal-themed outfits. Your contributions made the day even more special. Additionally, we are grateful for the generous donations made for WWF, which will go towards protecting wildlife around the world.
Thank you once again to the Green Team for their efforts and to everyone who participated and supported this fantastic day. We look forward to seeing more of their amazing ideas come to life in the future!
