Daniel Harris is the founder of the London Cloth Company, the first micro-mill to open in London. He very kindly came to visit us today to teach us how to weave. Daniel made the looms and attached the string to them. We used lots of materials as the ‘weft’ which we had to weave into the string.
We learnt that weaving can never go wrong! It will always look good, maybe just differently from how you first imagined! At first, it was tricky to weave the material between the string, but we soon got the hang out it. We worked in partners as the loom was so wide, we couldn’t reach the other side!
We are so grateful for Daniel coming in to teach us about weaving. Please have a look at his website to find out more about his work: www.londoncloth.com
