Dear parents and carers,
The council and London Marathon Events are offering 300 free Westminster Mile places to Westminster schools. They will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The Vitality Westminster Mile takes place on Sunday 29th May and is an ideal bank holiday day out for all the family.
Junior places usually cost £6 and all under 9s run free in the family category – so under 9s do not need to apply for the free places.
Event details
The one-mile course starts on the iconic Mall and finishes outside Buckingham Palace. It is organised by London Marathon Events in partnership with the council to encourage people into physical activity. There will be:
- free entertainment and activity in Green Park throughout the day
- famous faces – to be announced
- free medal and goody bag for everyone who takes part
- lots of categories so you can run alongside people of the same ability based on your estimated time
