Yesterday was World Book Day!
Nursery had such a fun first World Book Day at St Vincent’s! Everyone really enjoyed coming to school in costumes, and sharing the books that their favourite characters are from.
We had a whole school assembly which was a great busy start to the morning, everyone paraded round the hall so we could see all of the children’s (and teachers!) costumes. Nursery did so well to walk round in front of so many people and show their fantastic outfits.
After assembly we had a music lesson with Mr Hylton, this lesson allowed us to look at storytelling through music. The children were able to create sounds with instruments which aligned with the words in the story.
Throughout the day we had lots of fun activities, such as a class book swap, a surprise guest (Mr Aitken from Year 3) come and read with Nursery as Mrs Walsh went to surprise his class with a story time, and then parents were able to come and visit our classroom for some reading time too.
It truly was a wonderful day, and we had so much fun!
Thank you to Miss Forster Adams for organising such a great day for the whole school.
Nursery your costumes are amazing. They are so beatiful. Like Elsa, Anna, SpiderMan and so much more are so brilliant books to read.
