This week, Nursery have enjoyed celebrating WorldWeek by talking about the world we live in and how to look after ourselves and others. It has been interesting finding out about all of the different countries our families are from.
We began our week by celebrating spirituality day. We looked at photos of God’s wonderful creation and discussed how God made us, and how special and unique we all are. We learnt a new song based on Psalm 139:14; ‘I am fearfully and wonderfully made.’ We used oil pastels to draw some of God’s creations.
On Tuesday we celebrated safer internet day. We had a special assembly to talk about how to keep safe online. We listened to a story called ‘Digiduck and the Magic Castle,’ and talked about how we can ask a grown up for help if we need to. We made our own online safety posters to show who can help us at home.
We then focused on the theme ‘Growing Together,’ to support mental health week. We read the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle and talked about the changes the caterpillar went through before becoming a butterfly. We linked this to ourselves and talked about how we grow and how others can help us to grow too. We made beautiful butterflies!
We have enjoyed all of our learning this week and recognise it is important to celebrate how special and unique we all are!
Excellent work nursery!
Weslley explained his friends are Growing together and they are all unique and God gave a gift for each of them.
