This week we have been celebrating World Week! We have focused on our spirituality, internet safety, Children’s Mental Health and celebrated all the cultures within our classes and school.
On Monday, we started our week with Spirituality day. We looked at scripture from the Bible and reflected on the creation of our world. We discussed the creation story and all the parts of our world that we are grateful for. The children then created their own interpretation of this through art.
For Children’s Mental Health Awareness day, we discussed what mental health is and who has it. Year 3 have a great understanding that mental health is something we all have and is ever changing. They came up with some brilliant ways we can all improve our mental health such as enjoying the world around us by going for walks outside, listening to music, drawing and reading.
To support this we thought about ourselves. Year 3 created a Growth Wall, we shared all the things that we feel we have improved in this year. It was amazing to hear the children reflect on how far that have come already. I am so proud of them all and I loved seeing how proud they are of themselves.
To finish World Week, we took part in our assembly showing so many different cultures and talents in our school. We then used an atlas to identify how many different countries are represented in just our class!
Remember to watch the World Week Assembly on the school website!
It has been a great way to end this half term!
