This week has been World Week at St Vincent’s Primary School and we are celebrating the world we live in. Our themes included Spirituality, Safer Internet, Children’s Mental Health and Cultural Day.
For Safer Internet Day, we thought about how wonderful it is to be connected so easily with the rest of the world but we also acknowledged the dangers that come with using the internet. We discussed how the hazards can make us feel and what we should do if we encounter them.
To mark the importance of children’s mental health we used ‘The Invisible String’, a picture book by Patrice Karst to discuss how we can stay connected with the people we love wherever they may be. We created our very own invisible string in the classroom to show that we are all connected. Each heart is a representation of each of us:
We also created cards which are being sent to Beachcroft House care home because we want to make sure everyone is as well connected as we are.
Finally to celebrate ‘Culture Day’, we all came to school dressed up in clothes/colours of our country. It was so lovely to see so many countries represented around the classroom:

world book day was so fun we got to do so many acctivities and best of all not much work to do! You all so cool and I believe we all had a good time which is always good but now we are waiting to se what we all will wear next year!
