The theme for this year is ‘An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world’. The internet has an amazing range of information and opportunities online, as well as the potential to inform, connect and inspire us but how do we separate fact from fiction?
During the day, all children will watch a special assembly from Belinda from 3BM. Belinda usually comes in to help remind us about how to stay safe online and as we watch her from our devices, this year her advice will be more important that ever! Belinda has even done an assembly for parents that gives lots of helpful hints and tips. Click here to watch it.
All classes will then take part in a Safer Internet Day lesson, thinking about how to make sure they can trust everything they see online. Have a look below at some of their words of advice!

While the internet can be an amazing resource, it’s important that children have good experiences online, and know where to get support should something go wrong.
Ollee can help with this. The Internet section helps children make sense of their online experiences, and encourages them to talk to their parents should they feel worried or confused about something. Please visit and explore Ollee to see what help he can provide.
The Online Safety page of our website is constantly updated with the most recent information and resources. Please let us know if there is anything else we can support you with to keep everyone safe online.
It is fantastic to see how the school is teaching the children about using the internet wisely. Great tips for parents too!
