This week, Year 1 had an exciting trip to London Zoo to enhance their learning about animals as part of their current science topic.
After an exciting bus journey, we arrived at the zoo and were amazed by the wide variety of animals we saw, including tigers, penguins, flamingos, gorillas, butterflies, and so many more.
The day involved lots of walking as we explored the zoo, and by the end, we were all feeling a little tired—but it was worth it to see so many incredible animals up close.
A special highlight of the day was meeting Santa! The children had the chance to sing festive songs, chat with Santa, and discuss all the fascinating animals they had seen.
Of course, lunchtime was another popular moment—everyone enjoyed sitting together to share their packed lunches and take a well-earned rest.
It was a fantastic day filled with fun, learning, and adventure, and the children came back happy (and a little tired!).
It would be great to read some of the classes favourite moments in the comments below!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable!
