Today Year 3 visited Westminster Cathedral to attend a special Advent Carol Service in aid of the Catholic Children’s Society.
During the service, we listened to Angel Gabriel who narrated the Christmas story. We heard about the annunciation, the nativity and the epiphany. Each part of the story was accompanied by a carol. Everyone enjoyed joining in with ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’, ‘Little Donkey’, ‘Silent Night’, ‘We Three Kings of Orient Are’ and ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’. The choir was especially beautiful and really helped us to remember the special events before and after Jesus’ birth.
During the service, gifts were collected for the Catholic Children’s Society which is an important charity that our school supports during Advent and Lent. We heard about how the money collected through the service helped a family living in Westminster and prayed together with Bishop John to ask God to continue to help those most vulnerable and in need. It was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed being in such a beautiful Cathedral…

I loved the trip to Westminster Cathedral! Especially when a real goat and donkey were brought inside.It was really funny when the halo of the angel started to fall down. I really hope we will go on another trip soon!
I loved our trip it was so funny. I liked when Angel Gabriel got a phone call because Angels don’t have phones in that time and also when Angel Gabriel’s Halo fell off his head so he had to run out of the church!😝😅😂🤣I was also kind of scared when I walked through the middle in front of so many schools.
I enjoyed the trip to the Westminster Cathedral. It is such beautiful church. My favourite part was the angelic choir and the unforgettable Lily the goat and Chloe the donkey. I may have got their names muddled up. 😄🐐🐴
I really liked the trip especially when angel Gabriel ran away because his angel friend needed help on a mission that God sent him to do. I really liked the nativity.

I loved this TRIP IT WAS THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!. I was having a good time but the animals pooped!
