We had a fantastic Creativity Morning!
We looked at the illustrations in Hugo Cabret and used charcoal to explore tone, light and shade to create a mood, creating different pictures of the same scene from different angles.
We then had a go at using collage to create a poster to convey a particular genre to our view with free choice of materials.
Finally, we used a tripod (thank you Mr Normunds for making this for us!) to set a pendulum with paint in motion. The design of the pendulum was tracked from the falling paint on the floor. It created a symmetrical splatter and we looked at the movement of the pendulum, and how different forces act.
Finally, we had a chance to observe forces in action as we blew paint through a straw, creating beautiful and unique images.
Thank you so much to all the parents who joined us!
