As an introduction to the life and culture of the Vikings, we all took part in a carousel of activities including: baking Viking bread, weaving, creating Viking longships, decorating shields and writing our name on clay ‘pebbles’ using the runic alphabet.
After we let the Viking bread cool slightly, we went back to our classroom to rip it apart in chunks like a true Viking and drizzled honey on it. It tasted delicious!
