On Monday we welcomed parents and caregivers in to help Year 3 construct their Design and Technology project. We have been studying the ways in which Ancient Egyptians used the River Nile to transport goods, travel, fish and collect resources from. We looked at how boats changed depending on their purpose and the students used this as inspiration to design their own boat, carefully considering the equipment and materials they would need.
Lots of family members joined us and helped turn their designs into creations. The students worked very hard to overcome challenges faced during the process and everyone created fantastic boats. We have since evaluated our designs and identify features we liked, and what we would improve next time.
