This week Year 3 had the fabulous opportunity to go to the Roald Dahl Museum situated in Great Missenden, the Buckinghamshire village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years. While there, we took part in editing workshops to see how Roald Dahl used to edit his work. We edited a piece of his work ourselves at the end using tape and scissors to mix up certain bits. We even got to make up our own words like he did using Gobblefunk language.
We also enjoyed going through the museum itself to find out more information about Roald Dahl’s life. We learned that he traveled the world quite often, wrote 19 books, and even became a WWII fighter pilot!
Thank you so much to the SVPA for funding this incredible trip, as well as our lovely parent volunteers that assisted us on the journey. We are so grateful for you and your support.
It looks like you had such a great time, Year 3!
Thank you for going the extra mile to make this trip happen! It was such a great day. We are very lucky!
